Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for an Accounts Payable specialist for a 6-month contract. Job description

Location: Bishan

Duration: 6 months contract

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 9 - 6

Salary: Up to $4000

Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
  • Perform 3-way matching of invoices, debit/credit notes, POs, and DOs; investigate discrepancies.
  • Post vendor invoices and employee expense claims; ensure compliance with policies.
  • Prepare AP aging reports and reconcile vendor SOAs and GL subledgers.
  • Handle monthly payment runs (GIRO, TT, netting, cheque) and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Review vendor and customer account setup; maintain accurate AP records.
  • Support updates to AP policies in line with Group directives.
General Ledger
  • Prepare and post recurring/ad-hoc journals, fixed asset depreciation, and bank deductions.
  • Perform bank and PO clearing reconciliations; maintain Fixed Asset Register and sighting.
  • Prepare and update Balance Sheet and cash flow reports; follow up on outstanding items.
  • Support quarterly GST filing (AP side) and group reporting requirements.
  • Assist with project job costing, maintenance reporting, and ad-hoc stock adjustments.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Meticulous with attention to details, independent and adept at taking initiative and multitasking
  • Capable of managing high levels of stress and meeting tight deadline
  • Capable of collaborating effectively in a team environment and communicating clearly with others
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC / SAGE300 is advantageous.
