Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the company’s accounting and finance operations. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for processing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices and receipts, record transactions, and track outstanding payments.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintain proper and up‑to‑date accounting records, both physical and digital.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and supporting documentation for management review.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries and schedule preparation.
  • Monitor cash flow movements and assist in ensuring sufficient funds for daily operations.
  • Liaise with external parties such as vendors, customers, auditors, and banks when required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support to the finance team and management.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively as part of a team.
