Major Responsibilities:
Monitor passenger activities at the station platforms and on-board of the trains through CCTV system and render assistance to passengers through communication facilities at the Operations Control Centre;
Provide concise and timely information to passengers through the train-borne and station public announcement system in response to the prevailing train service situation;
Maintain effective and efficient communication with internal and external parties when dealing with an incident or a service interruption;
Analyze the information received from staff members of stations, trains, or other internal/external parties and to make quick and logical decisions in information dissemination or seeking assistance from emergency services;
Prepare documents relating to daily traffic activities including the preparations of track access management documents and the safe-keeping of those documents;
Mentor and train new staff who are undergoing on-the-Job trainings in the Ops Control Centre;
Assist Chief Controller on performing administrative tasks and to enforce security measures within the premises of Ops Control Centre;
Identify and report any defect or equipment damage in the Ops Control Centre to the Works Coordinator or relevant supporting department;
Escalate security/safety related matters to the proper authority
Perform other duties as directed by his/ her superiors.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 credits GCE 'O' Levels
Willing to perform shift work, including weekends and Public Holidays
Experience in the service industry and preferably with hands-on experience in using telecommunication system and public announcement system
