Job description

This is a part time position and Youth workers are remunerated hourly - from $18 -$30/hour.

The rate applies with individual's training , experience and tenure with us.

*Do note that we are hiring youth workers who are able to commit for 6 months or more

Job Description
  • Ensure smooth running of daily operations of the youth drop-in centre, which includes planning and conducting programmes that will develop the student’s social and emotional competencies. The competencies developed will help the students in at least one of these areas: recognising and managing their emotions, developing care and concern for others, making responsible decisions, establishing positive relationships, and handling the challenging situation effectively.
  • Responsible for maintenance of students’ activity centre
  • Contribute to programme planning
Other job requirements
  • Interact with the students on a regular basis over a prolonged duration through positive mentoring and counselling support for students.
  • Connect with students, build positive relationships and contribute to the holistic development of the students.
  • Observe, identify and listen out for some of the key needs of the students.
  • Working with other professional, provide para-counselling support for students who have been identified with potential issues. If deemed necessary, the students will be referred for appropriate interventions.
  • To plan and conduct programmes customised to students’ needs and integrated into the school’s efforts in character development in consultation with the school.
