A healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking a PALS Coordinator to oversee clinical support services for workplace mental health. The role includes providing counselling, responding to incidents, and developing policies for the Peer Support Program. The ideal candidate will have a degree in counselling or psychology and experience in a large or health-related company. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. This position requires proactive management of crisis interventions and support for employees.
The PALS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and providing clinical support services to improve workplace mental health and manage traumatic incidents. This includes offering consultation, training, counselling, and care for employees.
Provide counselling to staff who seek support and linking them to suitable agencies for ongoing care.
Respond to workplace incidents that affect employees' mental health.
Deploy peer supporters to address reported incidents.
Monitor the progression of incidents and make necessary recommendations.
Offer advice and support to management on issues related to employee welfare and crisis intervention.
Develop policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Peer Support Program (PSP).
Oversee and supervise peer support group members and their activities.
Plan and prepare budgets for fiscal submission, ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently and remain within forecasted amounts.
He/she is required to take on the following roles and responsibilities:
Oversee the operation of the peer support crisis team during activation.
Collaborate with Emergency Operations.
Schedule group crisis interventions as needed, such as debriefings or Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD).
Provide emotional support to crisis team members.
Arrange for operational and psychological debriefings for activated crisis team members after the situation has stabilized.
Degree in counselling, psychology or Social Work preferred.
Experience with a large-sized company and/or health related company will be an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
