1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
3. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
4. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
5. Collaborate with management to develop and review safety performance metrics and objectives.
6. Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, including reports, records, and safety manuals.
7. Promote a culture of safety by engaging employees in safety initiatives and encouraging their participation in safety committees.
8. Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
9. Assist in the preparation of safety budgets and resource allocation for safety-related initiatives.
10. Act as a liaison with external regulatory bodies and safety consultants as needed.

1. Proven experience as a Safety Officer in a heavy industry or metallurgy environment.
2. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to industrial operations.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
4. Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
6. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
7. Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and workshops effectively.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.

10. Fluency in both English and Arabic is an advantage.
