Guardian Industries is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Saudi Plant.
In this role, you will focus on project management, maintaining safe and reliable operations, and transforming the plant through automation, upgrades, and process and safety improvements.

Our site employs over 250 staff and produces Float Glass, Vacuum Coating Glass, and Wet Coating Glass.
What You Will Do
- Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance for equipment performance, troubleshooting, and system evaluation.
- Promote a safety culture by addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors, and suggesting improvements.
- Execute capital projects, including system upgrades and process improvements.
- Generate mechanical requirements and cost estimates for projects and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment such as conveying systems, automated stacking, batching, and furnace operations.
- Read, modify, and create technical drawings, schematics, and models.
- Provide training and technical support to Maintenance and Production teams.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical experience in industrial environments.
- Understanding of equipment safety systems.
- Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills for equipment like conveyors, compressors, fans, mixers, chillers, cooling towers, R/O & DI plants, and generators.
- Experience in continuous process automation plants.
- Project leadership experience.
- Knowledge of fluid systems.
- Good English communication skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Mechanical design, fabrication, and manufacturing support experience.
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Understanding of NFPA codes and piping standards.
