Job Summary:

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment and machinery in the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, and failures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and procedures according to established schedules and checklists.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to address complex mechanical problems and find effective solutions.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
• Document maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history records.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery as needed.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity.

Requirements:

• Diploma or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
