Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
As a Young Talent Specialist, you play a critical role as an internal consultant, enabler and collaborator – to design, manage and execute young talent programmes, including internships, graduate program, scholarships and protégé. Identify, attract, and develop young talent to support future organisational needs and drive a pipeline of high-potential employees.
What are you accountable for?
- Develop and manage the 4 pillars of the early career program (Young Talent) - internship, graduate programmes (MGP), scholarship and protégé
- Oversee end-to-end execution of each programme cycle — from planning, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, rotation management, performance tracking, and offboarding — ensuring a seamless young talent experience
- Organise engagement and development activities.
- Support the learning journey of young talent through structured learning paths, mentoring programmes, workshops, and career-readiness enablement.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with universities, student societies, career centers, and faculty members to enhance employer branding and attract top emerging talent.
- Ensure a positive candidate journey by collaborating with hiring managers, HRBPs, and business leaders; manage communications, expectations, and stakeholder alignment.
- Track programme outcomes and talent performance using dashboards and data reports; translate insights into recommendations and continuous improvement plans.
- Manage programme budgets, contracts, and external partners (assessment tools, universities, student associations), maintaining cost efficiency and value delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
What do you need to have to fit this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, talent management, or talent acquisition (preferred) and in managing Young Talent programmes.
- Advanced communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Experienced in stakeholder engagement and relationship building; advanced in program/project management; intermediate in talent acquisition, event coordination, and data reporting
- Certification in HR, Project Management, or Psychology preferred
