Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent practical experience in photography, videography, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in handling and managing professional camera equipment (preferable).
- Strong technical knowledge of various camera brands (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.), lenses, and photography accessories.
- Exceptional organizational and inventory management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with the Workshop Master and participants.
- High level of responsibility, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work independently, problem‑solve on the fly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Physically capable of handling and transporting heavy cases of equipment.
- Must possess own reliable car and a valid driver's license.
- Willing to travel frequently, often on weekends, and sometimes for multi‑day events across Malaysia.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Camera Workshop Specialist to be the cornerstone of our hands‑on photography workshops. This role is critical to ensuring participants have a seamless and positive experience with our professional camera equipment. You will be the primary custodian of our gear, responsible for its logistics, security, and maintenance before, during, and after each event. This is a hands‑on, travel‑intensive role perfect for a photography enthusiast who enjoys working with people and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre‑Workshop Logistics & Planning: liaise closely with the Workshop Master to understand the technical requirements and objectives; plan, prepare, and pack all necessary camera equipment; manage and maintain a meticulous and up‑to‑date master inventory list.
- Equipment & Inventory Management: conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑workshop equipment checks; track all equipment movement using an "in and out" recording system; perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting during events; report any damage, loss, or malfunction to management promptly.
- On‑Site Workshop Execution: travel to workshop locations across Malaysia, transporting all equipment safely; set up the equipment station in an organized and accessible manner; manage the loaning of equipment to participants, record names, contact information, and loaned items; explain proper handling and care; collect and inspect all loaned equipment at the end of the session, ensuring return in good condition.
