A prominent automotive workshop in Penang is seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations. The role involves managing manpower, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring high-quality repair services. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, with 3-4 years of workshop experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory position. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential. This position is open to Malaysians and valid PR holders only.
To assist in managing the daily workshop operations, including manpower, equipment, suppliers/contractors as per SOP and MBM WPC.
To achieve the monthly and annual workshop revenue target.
To achieve monthly and annual workshop productivity (>85%) and efficiency (>100%) target.
To ensure on-time delivery to customers, as promised.
To ensure high repair quality and no come-back jobs.
To support frontline team in complaints management, when required.
To monitor workshop revenue on daily and monthly basis and to take the necessary actions to ensure targets are met.
To conduct daily morning briefing for all workshop staff.
To monitor the technician productivity and efficiency on daily and monthly basis, and to take the necessary actions to ensure targets are met.
To recruit, when required and ensure technicians comply to the training schedule as laid out by MBM and management to achieve the necessary skill level as required.
To manage the discipline of all workshop staff with regards to compliance to company policies e.g late comings and staff performance e.g. poor productivity/efficiency, disciplinary issues.
To monitor all WIPs an liaise with relevant departments to expedite repair works, especially difficult repair and customer complaint cases.
To ensure all repairs are performed according to DAG work procedures and standards, final control check conducted for all Vehicles and issues rectified prior to delivery to customer.
To ensure all workshop tools and equipment are always calibrated and in good working condition.
To plan and implement hand tools/special tools audit as per the SOP.
To ensure workshop is in compliance of all governmental and environment regulations.
To ensure all warranty documentation and processes are adhered to prevent any warranty rejection.
To prepare and submit all necessary TIPS reports as required by MBM.
