Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled welder to perform various welding processes on steel materials. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing components, along with supporting maintenance operations during machine overhauls. Candidates must have a minimum of SPM, 1 year of relevant experience, and strong attention to detail. Forklift handling and communication skills in Bahasa Melayu are also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience or 5 years of experience in maintenance operation specializing in fitting/welding.
• Understanding of quality standards is preferable.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Melayu and understand basic English.

• Perform various welding processes on mild steel, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair components such as shafts and pipelines.

Job description

Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW, Arc welding) on mild steel, stainless steel, and carbon steel materials.

Fabricate, assemble, and repair components such as shafts, chambers, hoppers, frames, and pipelines.

Perform grinding, cutting, and fitting before and after welding.

Conduct alignment and dimension verification according to drawings or supervisor instructions.

Maintenance Support

Support maintenance team during machine overhaul, rectification, and modification works.

Carry out welding repairs on press shafts, chambers, housings, conveyors, and base frames as required.

Assist in dismantling and assembling of heavy components during servicing

Minimum SPM and 1 year of relevant working experience or 5 years of working experience in maintenance operation specializing in fitting/welding

Experience in handling forklift

Understanding of quality standards is preferrable

Able to communicate in Bahasa Melayu and understand basic English

Must be precise, accurate, and well organized and have strong attention to details

Forklift experience / Experience in manufacturing industry
