Position Summary:
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead our high-performing operations team. This pivotal role will drive operational excellence, optimize logistics workflows, and support our continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
- Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of raw materials, finished goods, tools, and packaging supplies.
- Optimize space utilization and streamline workflows for operational efficiency.
- Establish and enforce robust inventory control policies to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock assessments and proactively manage aging or end-of-life (EOL) inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service levels, and cost reduction across warehouse functions.
- Monitor equipment usage and staff practices to uphold safety standards and ensure all machinery is operated responsibly.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes using technology and automation tools to enhance warehouse and logistics processes.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Inspect incoming materials for compliance with order specifications and identify any defects.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Respond to internal & external audit findings and implement corrective actions to maintain ongoing compliance.
- Apply quality control protocols to ensure shipment accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulatory and internal standards.
Logistics & Transportation Coordination:
- Coordinate transportation, shipping, and delivery activities to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.to maintain smooth operations.
- Work closely with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment to customers.
- Resolve logistics-related inquiries and concerns from customers.
- Oversee third-party logistics (3PL), external bonded warehouses, and transportation partners to align with business requirements, optimize costs, and maintain service quality.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage warehouse & logistics personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Provide strategic direction and support to ensure optimal resource allocation, adherence to work schedules, and achievement of performance targets.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork across the warehouse and logistics team.
- Prepare and manage warehouse budgets, ensuring operations remain within approved financial parameters.
- Monitor and control operational expenses, including labor, transportation, and storage costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Address internal stakeholders’ inquiries and concerns related to logistics and warehouse operations.
Reporting & Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve operational performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse and logistics metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehouse management, preferably in manufacturing and export-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success in leading warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and in-plant logistics.
- Proven track record in managing internal and external audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Technical & Operational Expertise:
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
- Proficient in ERP SAP system, warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics-related software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and freight management practices.
