Position Summary

We are looking for a highly proficient English-speaking Registered Nurse to serve as a Virtual Assistant. The primary responsibility will be to manage initial patient enquiries via phone and electronic communication, conduct basic triage, provide professional health information, and coordinate care pathways. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in communication, can work independently in a remote setting, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care virtually.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication & Triage:
    • Conduct initial assessments of patient enquiries, symptoms, and concerns using established clinical protocols.
    • Determine the urgency of patient needs and direct them to the appropriate service (e.g., GP appointment, urgent care, emergency services).
  • Administrative & Clinical Support:
    • Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively in the practice management system.
    • Schedule and coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups as required.
    • Address general administrative queries related to services, processes, and paperwork.
  • Compliance & Professionalism:
    • Practice within the full scope of your nursing qualifications and in accordance with AHPRA standards and guidelines.
    • Participate in ongoing training and maintain all necessary professional registrations and certifications.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Mandatory:
    • Language Proficiency: Fluent command of written and spoken English with a clear, articulate, and professional phone manner.
    • Clinical Experience: Proven experience in a clinical nursing role with strong assessment and triage skills.
    • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers, phone systems, and practice management software. Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
  • Highly Desirable:
    • AHPRA Registration: Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
    • Experience in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or virtual care.
