Job summary

A leading construction company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Railway Track Engineer responsible for liaising with various stakeholders, preparing alignment drawings, and resolving technical issues related to railway projects. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 3 years experience in railway track engineering, and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Liaise with authorities, clients, lead consultants, sub-consultants and contractors on matters related to railway track and alignment engineering;

Prepare and produce railway alignment and track-related drawings in accordance with the approved project schedule and design requirements;

Coordinate with relevant disciplines to respond to comments and resolve technical issues related to railway alignment, track layout and interfaces with structures, stations and depots;

Attend technical meetings with authorities such as JKR, KKR, LLM, JPS and relevant railway stakeholders to discuss alignment, track geometry and compliance matters;

Liaise with design engineers to convey local authority requirements, standards and approval conditions related to railway track and alignment works;

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Requirements

CandidatemustpossessatleastBachelor/Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in railway track and/or alignment engineering, including involvement in design, engineering coordination, technical review or railway asset management activities;

Requiredskill(s):MSOffice,MSProject,AutoCad; experience with railway alignment and track design is an advantage;

Basic knowledge of railway track engineering, horizontal and vertical alignment, interfaces with structures and stations;

Good professionalism, able to work independently, diligently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;

Able to communicate and work effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia;

Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and willing to work overtime when required.
