Job summary

A technology manufacturing company in Malaysia, Penang is seeking a technician to operate production test equipment and troubleshoot defective products. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in Electronics and at least 1 year of relevant experience in debug and functional testing. Willingness to work day and night shifts is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work shifts (both day and night).
• At least 1 year of Debug/Functional Test experience.
• Strong knowledge in circuit analysis of both digital and analog schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate production test equipment and troubleshoot products.
• Conduct assembly/system level troubleshooting.
• Field board debugging and failure analysis.
• Maintain and monitor test performance and yield.
• Support implementation of engineering change orders.
• Create documentation for operational/technical training.
• Support reactive maintenance of test equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating production test equipment, troubleshoot and repair defective products, maintain test equipment, monitor test performance and yield information, and provide technical support to other focus factory personnel.
• Assembly/system level troubleshooting to component level
• Field board debugging and analyzing failure boards.
• Debug WIP inventory control.
• Support implementation of engineering change orders
• Operate test equipment (may include flying probe, In-circuit test, functional)
• Support the development of documentation for operational or technical training
• Support reactive maintenance (test equipment)
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• A qualified candidate must be willing to work shifts (day and night shift rotation)
• Diploma in Electronics/ Electrical/ Telecommunication Engineering with at least 1 year of Debug/ Functional Test experience.
• Knowledge in circuit analysis of schematic diagrams (Digital and Analog).
• Strong knowledge in Functional Test (FT) and debug.
