A global semiconductor company in Johor is seeking a skilled engineer to oversee and maintain test loadboards and sockets in production. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and has at least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot hardware issues, optimize test methodologies, and enhance overall product yield. Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving are essential for success in this role.
Full technical ownership in maintaining and sustaining test loadboard and test socket in production to ensure smooth production running. Qualifications of new loadboard and test sockets to ensure lowest test cost, good robustness and quality. Involve in design stage with division and vendors to comply with STM standard.
Good knowledge in loadboard and test socket application including design and issues encountered in production
Knowledge in PCB electronics and experience in using schematics and basic test program for troubleshoot issues
Good skillset in manufacturing test sustaining, able to perform design change and optimizations as ONE stop solution provider
Good technical report writing and communication skills to product owner / designer from divisions is a bonus expertise
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated production over rejects due to hardware issue. Assist in jig repair to identify malfunction component. Locating faulty tester instrument / hardware with root cause finding to prevent reoccurrence.
Collaborate with maintenance, test, quality, and product department to improve test robustness on hardware and test program. Update test program to resolve bugs and adding new tests for better coverage requirements
Yield improvement project by optimizing test methodologies and adhere to programming best practices to reduce test instability and thus improve overall product yield.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry
