Advanta Seeds is looking for a Techno-Commercial Manager in Malaysia.
Job Summary
Drive sales growth and market expansion by managing key channels and customers, executing crop‑wise sales strategies, conducting and promoting variety demonstrations, generating demand through farmer and dealer engagement, onboarding new partners, providing technical support, achieving revenue and collection targets, and delivering timely sales, demo, and market intelligence reports.
Job Responsibilities
Sales revenue and Customer / Channel management:
- Key channel management existing for the expansion of revenue and market share as per the yearly budget. Should be able to drive growth in focused crops for fresh corn and vegetable seeds
- Onboarding of new customers
- Sales planning and month‑on‑month basis achievement of revenue, collection and other KPI areas as per the budget
- Plan the short to long term crop wise sales strategy and operational plan.
- Co‑ordinating the demonstration of new vegetable seeds products in key vegetable growing area. Plan and execute the market development trials / demo in key locations for Sweet corn, Baby corn, Waxy corn Cucumber, Hot Pepper, Tomato, Okra, Pumpkin, Ridge Gourd, Yard Long Bean, Cauliflower, etc. The demos are mostly to be conducted at grower / farmer locations, so selection of good growers, relationship with brokers and selection of good location is very important to undertake good demonstration. Regular and proper follow up of the trial through visit or other mode of communication will be required. Regularly collecting the data. Make trial report. Select the suitable varieties for the area and then conduct the promotional activities for demand generation and take sales target for the selected varieties.
- Note: Ability to conduct good variety demos at key market locations is a must.
Promotion, Demand Generation and Sales of new / existing varieties
- Promotion of the new / existing varieties through field day, farmer meetings. Creating demand for the new varieties among channel partners, growers, brokers etc. Plan and achieve for month wise target for customer and farmer reach to do so with most effective use of resources.
- Providing technical support to growers and customer / dealers.
- Identification and onboarding of new B2B partners and dealers for B2C business of company for sales activities.
- Sales, marketing and promotion of new varieties in the country and collection of money From the dealer as per policy
- Candidate should be familiar with relevant competitive varieties and dealer in the market and can promote the company and its varieties in the territory.
- Able to prepare sales plan and execute properly in the area of assignment.
Reporting and other activities
- Reports to the Manager on travels made and travel schedule
- Monthly reports – Demo, Sales, Collection, Promotional Demand Generation Activities
- Responsible for gathering relevant market and other information at monthly / relevant interval
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy or any related courses
- At least 5 years experience in working in the agriculture industry, preferably in seeds business within the technical, commercial, and sales functions.
- Communicative skills (oral and written) in both the Malaysian Bhasa language and English.
- Should be able to work in dynamic situations.
- Ability to work comfortably with MS Office tools – Excel, Power Point & Word
- Comfortable in using digital tools as required by company
- Ability to negotiate and drive results as expected
