Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an individual to support production processes and assist engineers with assembly and testing activities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ASM die bonder and wire bonder, be familiar with DATACON and Pick & Place Machines, and demonstrate enthusiasm for meeting production KPIs. Responsibilities include monitoring assembly processes, maintaining equipment, and supporting troubleshooting activities. Qualifications

• Proven expertise in ASM die bonder and wire bonder is essential.
• Skill in handling and troubleshooting DATACON and Pick & Place Machine preferred.
• Ability to execute tasks according to specifications and quality protocols.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Support daily assembly and manufacturing processes to ensure smooth production flow.
• Operate and monitor die attach, wire bond, and related backend assembly processes according to work instructions.
• Assist engineers in process setup, product changeover, and pilot build activities.
• Follow and execute process specifications, visual aids, and work instructions accurately.
• Record and report process data, yield issues, and abnormalities to the Process Engineer.
• Assist in basic tooling verification, fixture setup, and GR&R activities under engineer guidance.
• Support troubleshooting of minor process issues and escalating major issues accordingly.
• Maintain good 5S and safety practices at the workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or engineer.
• Operate and support backend test equipment, fixtures, and jigs during production.
• Perform daily test setup, execution, and monitoring according to test procedures.
• Assist in test equipment calibration checks and maintain calibration records.
• Support preventive maintenance (PM) activities for test fixtures and test stations.
• Identify, record, and report test failures or abnormalities to Test Engineer.
• Assist in NPI test activities, including test station setup and data collection.
• Support production and engineers in test troubleshooting and retesting activities.
• Maintain proper documentation, logs, and checklists for test operations.
• Perform other duties as required from supervisor.
• Able to provide expertise in ASM die bonder and wire bonder.
• Prefer familiar and skilled in handling and troubleshooting DATACON and Pick & Place Machine.
• Execute exactly according to Spec, WI and QP to maintain equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) / calibration (CAL) of production equipment.

• Able to support production volume loading, equipment ramp up and conversion.
