A leading electronics firm in Malaysia is seeking a candidate for a role in SMT manufacturing. Responsibilities include setting up solder paste printers, troubleshooting machine issues, and conducting quality control. Candidates should have a diploma in electronics or a related field, preferably with 1–3 years of experience. Set up solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI and reflow ovens.
Load feeders, components, materials and perform verification process.
Perform program loading and alignment checks.
Manage change over and first article verification.
Monitor machine performance and ensure stable production flow.
Diagnose and correct issues such as misalignment, tombstoning, solder bridging and missing components.
Troubleshoot feeder faults, nozzle problems, vacuum issues and machine errors.
Optimize printing parameters, placement accuracy and reflow temperature profiles.
Support continuous improvement of SMT processes.
Review SPI/AOI results and take corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards.
Documentation of defects and assist in root-cause analysis activity.
Conduct routine cleaning and calibration.
Maintain nozzles and feeders to reduce downtime.
Record all maintenance activities following SOPs.
Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering or related field.
Preferred 1–3 years of experience in SMT manufacturing.
Knowledge of PCB assembly processes, SMT components and soldering principles.
Ability to read drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
High quality awareness and willingness to take responsibility.
Basic understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610).
Ability to use microscopes, multimeters, rework equipment and measurement tools.
Willing to work on rotating shifts/overtime when needed.
