Dept: Operations (Engineering & Maintenance) Level: 2 Title: Technician
Job Purpose
- To ensure efficient daily operation of production machinery and facility systems to achieve planned output while maintaining safe and high-quality food production standards.
- To perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems to support uninterrupted factory operations.
Work Condition
- Work location covers both the plant and employee hostel.
- May be required to work overtime and follow shift rotation based on operational needs and as instructed by the superior.
Education, Qualifications & Training
- Minimum SKM Level 4 / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Possess a valid driving licence.
Experience, Skills or Specialized Knowledge / Language / Ability to Travel
- Minimum two (2) years of working experience in a related field.
- Able to complete maintenance forms in English and Malay.
- Willing to work overtime and follow shift duty roster.
- Able to perform troubleshooting activities.
- Good knowledge of maintenance methods, practices, and building/facility upkeep is an added advantage.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities / Activities
- To understand, operate, and check machinery according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- To identify and resolve recurring issues with machinery, equipment, or parts.
- To learn and perform troubleshooting during machine breakdowns under supervision.
- To conduct periodic inspections, respond to repair requests, and update machine maintenance records.
- To maintain a safe working environment and promote a safety-first culture.
- To perform daily checks of the Machine Operating Time Form and prepare monthly ANA reports with proper filing.
- To record and track all repair jobs using the Machine Breakdown Form during operations.
- To perform calibration of equipment (e.g., scale, tunnel oven, rack oven) according to schedule.
- To carry out electrical repair works in the employee hostel.
- To update tool usage records and ensure all tools are properly stored.
- To maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance room.
- To ensure compliance with personal hygiene, environmental care, quality, safety, and 5S requirements.
- To support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- To perform other duties assigned from time to time.
