Job summary

A leading tech company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Technician to install and support Data Acquisition Modules and building monitoring systems. Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of technical support experience, including familiarity with electrical and electronic work. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The Technician installs, configures, tests, and supports Data Acquisition Modules and building monitoring systems at customer sites. This role requires hands‑on skills in electrical, electronic, and basic IT configuration work, including working with various building sensors, CCTV, and related monitoring equipment. The Technician must ensure proper installation quality, perform troubleshooting, and provide post‑installation support when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure Data Acquisition Modules, wiring, sensors, and related equipment at customer premises.
  • Integrate systems with existing building infrastructure through basic electrical, electronic, and networking setup.
  • Conduct functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting during and after installation.
  • Provide on‑site technical support, servicing, and routine system checks.
  • Coordinate with building management, contractors, and customers during installation and support visits.
  • Document installation details, configurations, device serials, and service reports accurately.
  • Escalate technical issues when required and work with internal support teams to resolve them.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in electrical/electronic/IT technical support, field installation, or maintenance work.
  • Experience working with building sensor systems, CCTV, or similar monitoring equipment is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic electrical wiring and electronic component knowledge.
  • Familiarity with building monitoring systems and sensor‑based equipment.
  • Basic networking skills (IP configuration, LAN troubleshooting).
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and perform hands‑on diagnostics.

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to work at various sites across Klang Valley.
  • Physically fit for installation tasks (equipment handling, ladders, etc.).
  • Good communication skills and customer‑facing attitude.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Own transport (car or motorcycle).
  • Able to start immediately or on short notice.
