Technical Sales Managers/Engineers (Busduct/Electrical/Power Systems/Switchgear, LV/MV Electrical Distribution Systems)
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing the sales of busduct (busway) systems by providing technical expertise, building strong customer relationships, and delivering tailored power distribution solutions. This role bridges engineering design and commercial strategy, ensuring customer requirements are met with accurate technical proposals and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities for busduct systems across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and present product proposals, solution recommendations, and cost estimates to clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Conduct market research on competitors, pricing trends, and customer demand.
- Build, maintain, and expand the customer database (developers, M&E contractors, consultants, EPC companies).
- Attend networking events, project meetings, and industry exhibitions to promote busduct products.
Technical Expertise & Support
- Provide detailed technical explanations on busduct system design, specifications, installation requirements, and compliance standards.
- Work with engineering and design teams to prepare busduct system drawings, load calculations, and technical submissions.
- Review client’s electrical system layout and propose suitable busduct routing, sizes, and capacity.
- Resolve technical issues during pre‑sale and post‑sale stages.
- Ensure product solutions comply with relevant standards (IEC, UL, MS, etc.).
- Review tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate quotations.
- Coordinate with procurement/engineering for costings, material specifications, and product availability.
- Submit technical and commercial proposals according to deadlines.
- Negotiate tender terms, pricing, and contract conditions with clients.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and production teams for smooth project execution.
- Follow up on material delivery schedules, installation requirements, and site issues.
- Attend site visits, technical meetings, and coordination meetings when required.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain long‑term relationships with existing clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide after‑sales support including troubleshooting, technical clarifications, and warranty matters.
- Manage customer complaints professionally and coordinate corrective actions.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and project tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, contracts, and correspondence.
- Provide management with market insights, competitor updates, and sales recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably in busduct/busway systems, switchgear, LV/MV electrical distribution systems, or M&E industry.
- Familiar with electrical drawings, SLD (Single Line Diagram), and busduct system routing.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of LV/MV busduct types (sandwich, air‑insulated, rising main, feeder, plug‑in).
- Understanding of electrical load calculation and power distribution design.
- Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, tender documents, and consultant specifications.
