This includes working with various tools and languages used within the Guidewire ecosystem, such as Gosu, Java, and RESTful APIs.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with partners and clients to understand their business needs and translate these into technical requirements. This includes participating in stakeholder meetings, managing expectations, and ensuring that the technical solutions meet the client’s business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing support, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that the systems evolve with the partners’/client’s needs, often by collaborating with the product management and development teams.
  • Team Management: Line‑manage a group of functional and technical consultants based in Kuala Lumpur, including performance management, technical oversight and guidance, leading or coordinating professional development initiatives, supporting the wider KL and GDC management team with people‑related initiatives such as talent branding and recruitment, campus outreach, employee experience and engagement, product training and technical workshops, and organizational development.
  • People Management: Recruit, onboard, and engage staff to ensure employee success and continued growth within Guidewire. Support resource/capacity planning and staffing of projects for GDC in the region and across the globe.

At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data‑driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Deep understanding of the principles and patterns of object‑oriented design
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in consulting or other customer‑facing roles
  • Experience working on agile teams
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
  • Knowledge of code review best practice (tools and techniques)

  • Preference given to candidates that have a proven track record working as a delivery manager or similar role.
  • Proven ability to work with insurance carriers and implementation partners.
  • Proficiency in Guidewire Cloud products, e.g. InsuranceSuite Developer Fundamentals, xCenter Configuration, and InsuranceSuite Cloud Integration.
