Job summary

A leading engineering solutions company in Shah Alam, Selangor is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to develop control solutions based on customer specifications. Responsibilities include PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and documentation. Candidates must possess a diploma/degree in Electrical or Electronics and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required, with Mandarin as an advantage. This role offers opportunities for travel and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in customized Automation projects.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Familiar with various PLC programming languages including C++, ladder logic, and function block diagram.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete control solution and software design base on customer specification.
• Integration of third-party equipment and components into software design.
• Developing and troubleshooting PLC, DDC & SCADA/HMI program.
• Developing Graphical User Interface for machine control.
• Setup & troubleshooting electrical components & system control.
• Prepare machine I/O, flow chart, Interface time chart, data allocation list, Setup procedure and software soft code.
• Documentation of machine operation manual for the project.
• Liaise with the customer, design and Project Engineer for the software development and execution of the project.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

• Must possess a Diploma/ Degree in Electrical or Electronics/ Professional certificate PW1/PW2/PW4/A0/A1/A4 Certificate or other equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 year’s relevant experience in customized Automation project. Fresh grads are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Siemens & Allen-Bradley PLC programming & HMI design.
• Able to perform assigned tasks independently or through team activities.
• Self‑motivated, resourceful, and organized.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas for assignments at short notice.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
