The Opportunity

Cyan has an opportunity for a Survey Operations Manager to join our Subsea Survey division. Reporting to the Survey and Inspection Operations Manager, this role will be accountable for all survey operations, including managing and coordinating all survey and inspection field resources, ensuring safety and performance, implementing efficient processes, and driving strategy, compliance across Singapore and international operations.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Singapore CBD office and workshop as per operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all Survey and Inspection assets, resources, and operations across Cyan vessels
• Coordinate project delivery to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Maintain strong understanding of project scopes and contractual requirements, including participation in client kick-off discussions
• Accountable for safety performance and leadership of survey staff
• Manage recruitment, training, and competency assessment of survey staff
• Manage supplier, personnel agency, and survey supply chain relationships
• Manage the Singapore survey workshop and equipment pool
• Conduct regular reviews of equipment suitability and durability
• Manage the Singapore Survey and Inspection budget
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and development of equipment, systems, and processes.
• Support and promote company systems for business management, safety, quality, and staff competency assessments.
• Provide ad-hoc project management and operational support, including attending mobilisations when required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary level qualification in a Hydrographic Surveying / Surveying or Engineering.
• Over 10 years’ experience in an offshore supervisory role
• Over 5 years’ experience in an operational or project management role
• Extensive experience in offshore and marine operations, including Survey and Inspection, with proven safety management record
• Proven track record in project delivery, business development, and client relationship management
• Strong skills in personnel management, teamwork, and influencing others to drive performance
• Experience in contractual, commercial, and project cost management, including budgeting and P&L management of projects
• Excellent communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to prioritise in a busy project environment
