A logistics and supply chain company in Kedah is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to manage suppliers and enhance inventory processes. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, monitoring performance, and coordinating logistics for timely deliveries. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in supply chain roles. Strong communication skills and proficiency in ERP systems are essential, along with an ability to work under pressure.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery performance.
Prepare purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO).
Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery/quality issues.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
Coordinate with warehouse teams on stock movement, storage, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and production requirements.
Arrange and track inbound and outbound shipments (local & international).
Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs agents.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, warehouses, or production sites.
Resolve logistics issues such as delays, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments.
Work with sales, finance, and production teams to develop accurate forecasts.
Plan replenishment and manage safety stock levels.
Prepare supply chain reports (e.g., stock aging, forecast accuracy, cost reports).
Prepare and manage shipping documents, invoices, and customs forms.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, internal SOPs, and ISO standards.
Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.).
Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
Support cost-reduction projects and supply chain optimization.
Participate in audits, reviews, and supply chain improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of supply chain processes (procurement, warehousing, logistics).
Familiar with ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic analysis).
Understanding of shipping & customs documentation.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with strong organizational skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or inventory roles (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with international shipping (incoterms, customs clearance).
