Are you passionate about making a difference in the classroom? ISKL is looking for dedicated substitute teachers to support our students and ensure learning continues smoothly.

We are currently seeking long-term substitute teachers for High School Mathematics and High School Fine Arts. In this role, you will provide instructional coverage for teachers who are on extended leave, work collaboratively with colleagues, and uphold the high standards that define ISKL’s learning environment.

Key Responsibilities (inclusive but not limited to):

  • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to ensure consistency in student learning.
  • Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Provide individual and group support to students, adapting teaching methods to fit their needs.
  • Assign in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan.
  • Supervise students in and out of the classroom.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Principal

This role requires a substitute teacher who is not only skilled in classroom management but also committed to building a supportive and inclusive learning community.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum three (3) years teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s in Education and/or Teaching Certification preferred
  • Able to establish clear expectations for classroom rules and procedures, consistently enforcing them in a fair and equitable manner
  • Able to maximize instructional time while minimizing disruptions
  • Able to foster a climate of trust and teamwork by being fair, caring, respectful, and enthusiastic
  • Able to build positive and professional relationships with both students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, being a good listener with a collaborative approach
  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic, approachable, visible, and open-minded

  • Residence Pass - Talent visa
  • Malaysian spousal visa with Permission to Work
  • MM2H - with Permission to Work for ISKL
  • Diplomatic Visa with Permission to Work for ISKL
