STORE SUPERVISOR (METAL STAMPING MANUFACTURING)

Receiving: Supervising the receipt of raw materials from suppliers. This involves inspecting shipments for accuracy and quality, checking against purchase orders, and coordinating with purchasing and quality control departments.

Storage: Organizing the layout of the warehouse to optimize space and facilitate efficient material handling. Ensuring that materials are stored according to safety and accessibility considerations, such as proper stacking and shelving procedures. Manage and in charge end month stock check and ensure accuracy.

Issuing: Managing the issuance of materials to production lines in a timely manner. Implementing FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles as applicable to minimize waste and ensure materials are used efficiently.

Inventory Control: Conducting regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to maintain accurate inventory levels. Utilizing inventory management software or ERP systems to track inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies.

2. Quality Control

Inspection: Collaborating with quality assurance teams to inspect incoming materials for conformity to specifications and quality standards. Documenting and reporting any non-conformities and initiating corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inspection results, quality issues, and corrective actions taken. Ensuring that all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and internal quality management systems.

3. Safety and Compliance

Safety Protocols: Enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for warehouse personnel. Conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks.

Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about occupational health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations. Ensuring compliance with regulations related to handling hazardous materials, storage requirements, and employee safety training.

4. Supervision and Team Management

Staff Training: Providing training and development opportunities to warehouse staff, including on safety procedures, equipment operation, and inventory management practices.

Performance Management: Setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback to warehouse team members. Addressing performance issues and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.

Scheduling: Planning and coordinating staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for warehouse operations. Managing overtime and temporary staffing needs during peak periods or special projects.

5. Logistics and Shipping

Coordination: Collaborating with production planning and logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. Ensuring that shipping/receiving schedules align with production demands.

Packaging and Shipping: Overseeing the packaging of finished goods for shipment to customers or distribution centers. Coordinating with carriers or freight forwarders to arrange transportation and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and improve efficiency. Implementing lean principles, such as 5S methodology or Kaizen events, to reduce waste and enhance productivity.

Data Analysis: Analyzing warehouse performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, fill rates, and on-time delivery performance. Using data insights to make informed decisions and implement improvements.

7. Communication

Internal Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with other departments, such as production, procurement, and quality control. Addressing issues proactively and collaborating on solutions to ensure smooth workflow.

External Communication: Serving as a point of contact for external parties, including suppliers, carriers, and auditors. Resolving issues related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, or regulatory compliance as they arise.

8. Documentation and Reporting

Record Keeping: Ensuring that all warehouse transactions, including receipts, issuances, and adjustments, are accurately documented and recorded in the warehouse management system or ERP software.

Reporting: Generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, and safety metrics. Presenting findings and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
