Job summary

A healthcare facility in Malaysia is seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience, including 2 years in oncology. Key responsibilities include planning nursing care, ensuring appropriate treatment, and supervising patient care. The ideal candidate holds a valid nursing license, has competency in nursing care, excellent communication skills, and is certified in Basic Life Support. Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.

Qualifications

Job description

·Receives/handover shift report with the rest of the team.

·Plans and carries out comprehensive nursing care with team members according to individual's patient needs.

·Ensures patients receive appropriate treatment as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare professionals.

·Observes, monitors, assess, reports and documents patient’s conditions and response to treatment.

·Supervises and carries out nursing care to patients.

·Assists with patients discharge planning.

·Assists with nursing education for nurses and participate in nursing competency assessment for nurses.

·Takes charge of the unit in the absences of Nurse Manager and Sister.

Job Requirements
  • SRN Registered with a valid Nursing Board license.
  • Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in oncology, hematology, or transplant care.
  • Post Basic in Oncology Care is an added advantage (Paediatric / Oncology).
  • Competent in Nursing Care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in chemotherapy administration, infection control, and central line care.
  • Familiar with transplant protocols, immunosuppressive therapy, and post-transplant monitoring.
