The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with professional standards and the policies of the medical centre. The nurse ensures quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
Provide wound care, IV therapy, and assist in minor procedures.
Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are maintained.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication use, and post-care instructions.
Assist doctors during medical examinations, procedures, and emergency cases.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of specimens.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the doctor in charge.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
Ensure all nursing documentation is completed timely and accurately.
Participate in audits, quality assurance, and risk management activities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Uphold confidentiality and ethical nursing practices at all times.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all interactions.
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board (LJM).
Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Minimum [1–2] years of clinical experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
Good communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
