In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead global projects and initiatives and support the calibration global organization to ensure customers will have the right calibration support through NI or NI calibration network
- Drive the execution of enabling calibration capabilities at partner locations, completing capabilities gap analysis, ordering equipment, and working with NI Services Centers to provide the necessary level of training and support
- Maintain open and constant communication with calibration partners on software and processes updates, open issues, action items and performance
- Create, monitor and report calibration partner's performance by collecting and evaluating monthly performance metrics and creating partner's performance scorecards
- Complete audits, evaluations, and risk assessments of calibration partners to ensure alignment with NI practices, expected level of quality, evaluation of technical competencies and compliance with NI agreement
- Manage quality escalations related to calibration partners
- Provide training in calibration software and procedures
- Manage quality and technical escalations with calibration partners
- Continue improvement (CI) leader and constantly improve laboratory and/or quality activities
- Travel to clients for on-site calibration
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Keep calibration equipment and supplies in good condition
- Familiarize and maintain ISO/IEC 17025:2005 quality and technical management system
- Coordinate and perform on-site/in-lab calibration fulfilling ISO/IEC norms
- Document and verify calibration software, procedures, method
- Maintain records of Master Instruments list and traceable to International Standards
- Be technically competent in handling lab audit and compliance with ISO requirements
- Coordinate training of technical staff and continuously improve activities
- Handle customer enquiries and solve customer technical issues
Job Summary
Manufacturing Calibration Services is looking for a talented Calibration Engineer to ensure that the instruments and testing devices are correctly calibrated, provide accurate readings in accordance with standards, and support internal and external calibration laboratories participating in the NI Certified Calibration Center (CCC) Program. The position requires performing calibrations, producing technical reports in the field and laboratory, traveling to job sites, interacting directly with customers, and working across internal functions and calibration partners to achieve operational and business goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- BE/Master degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- 5+ years of experience in metrology with data analysis and statistical methods, understanding of calibration and metrology concepts and methodologies for electrical and RF equipment
- First-hand experience with signal analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, network analyzer, modular instruments is preferred
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Experience leading global teams and working with outside vendors or service providers
- Experience in ISO/IEC 17025:2005 internal and external audit
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally (no more than 25% of the year)
- Experience negotiating and managing contracts with vendors
- Experience with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1-1994 calibration standards and requirements
- Experience with NI Calibration Executive Software
