Job summary

A well-regarded safety consultancy in Malaysia is seeking a candidate to assist in workplace safety inspections and audits. The role includes participating in hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementing control measures. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a relevant field and be proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities also include supporting safety training initiatives and monitoring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Safety, Health, Environment or any relevant field required.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Understanding of OSHA 1994 and EQA 1974 essential.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and report effectively.

Responsibilities

Job description

Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections and audits.

Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementing control measures.

Support the preparation of safety training materials and coordinate training sessions.

Monitor and report on security protocols, including access control and emergency drills.

Assist in documenting and improving site security procedures.

Support health promotion programs for employees, including wellness campaigns and first-aid initiatives.

Participate in environmental impact assessments and waste management initiatives.

Prepare reports, logs, and documentation related to SSHE activities.

Assist in maintaining compliance records for audits and inspections.

Support investigations of incidents or near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Help document incident reports and follow-up actions.

Assist in daily departmental operations as needed.

Job Success Requirements
  • Diploma in Safety, Health, Environment or any relevant principal
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Good understanding of OSHA 1994 & EQA 1974
  • Able to conduct inspections, briefings, and report writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
