This Position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute technical assignments. Each day, you will deliver technical solutions as per agreed timeline and standards using established solutions. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the development of technical expertise solutions and services.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) in Malaysia . Main stakeholders are ABB valued Customers & Partners.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working hand-in-hand with the Project Managers to oversee the engineering & technical aspects of a project.
• Reviewing technical documents and engineering drawings from ABB factories & vendors complying to customer's specification and Malaysian electrical standards.
• Reviewing customer's returned drawings and participating in core technical meetings at customer sites and factory premises (physically &/or remotely).
• Serve as the local technical specialist for AIS, GIS, RMU, etc. providing technical solutions to internal Sales, Tendering & Project teams as well as external Customers & Partners.
• Coordinating technical support for the resolution of technical issues

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 8 years of electrical engineering experience in Electrical Engineering, specifically in Electrical Distribution and Medium Voltage systems.
• Proficient in reading electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, Logic Diagrams & Technical Specifications.
• Basic understanding/knowledge of Protection RELAY programming, UPS, SCADA, & DCS is an added advantage.
• Experience in MV Switchgears, Compact Subs., E-House for Data Centers &/or Oil & Gas industries.
• Resourceful, independent, collaborative, solutions driven with a growth mindset. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
