Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE) or other regulated product categories is preferred.
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, or other project-management tools.

Sr Specialist, Global Category Management (Scientific)

Ansell is looking for a Sr Specialist in Global Category Management (Scientific) to join our team in Malaysia.

The role involves supporting and managing GCM projects across product categories for the Scientific Business Unit, including global product lifecycle management, portfolio development, cross‑functional support for strategic projects and new product launches, product design changes, documentation development, and maintenance of online marketing/technical databases and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Associate Director GCM in managing product lifecycle and simplifying the portfolio to drive sales, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support GCM and Regional Category Managers in implementing category‑management related projects.
  • Manage GCM projects to completion—including product improvements, transfers, and new product developments—ensuring compliance with regulatory claims and specifications.
  • Consolidate feedback from factories and regions for timely project completion.
  • Update and maintain project trackers, dashboards, and applications.
  • Coordinate product testing with in‑house and/or external laboratories.
  • Act as a bridge point between functional teams across factories and regional teams.
  • Oversee change‑management and maintain accuracy across all product‑related content, including artwork briefs, databases, marketing collateral, digital assets, and data sheets, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with GMPO Marketing & Digital teams to keep product data correct on online catalogues and Ansell Earth, and maintain sustainability claims on Ansell.com.
  • Work with QA, operational and regional teams to address product‑related issues.
  • Summarise final product changes for regional communication.
  • Gather and consolidate VOC feedback from RCMs/customers, providing marketing VOC support and communicating key learnings from product evaluations.
  • Provide RCMs with accurate data and global marketing/regulatory updates to ensure effective communication of projects and alignment on timing and regional impact.
  • Coordinate sample requests and evaluations between factories, regional and global teams.
  • Participate in the implementation of appropriate product rationalisation plans.
  • Carry out any other activities requested by the Associate Director, Scientific.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Prior exposure to or work experience in technical roles is an added advantage.
  • Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE) or other regulated product categories is preferred.
  • Experience in global marketing in a matrix organisation is preferred.
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, or other project‑management tools.
  • Flexibility to work with different time zones (APAC/NA/EMEA), including participation in conference calls outside standard working hours if required.
  • Limited domestic & overseas travel for internal product‑related meetings.
