Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to join our Shared Services team. This role will focus on managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, supporting our local and global entity while driving process improvements. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Management: Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, ensure timely payments, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Accounts Receivable Oversight: Generate customer invoices, monitor collections, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Transaction Processing: Record financial transactions in ERP systems, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of AP and AR accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on AP/AR status, cash flow, and aging analysis for management review.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve accuracy within shared service operations.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and support internal/external audits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and other departments to resolve financial queries and support business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or shared service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
