Job description

We are seeking a Special Need Teacher to join our team at the Autism Gym Centre in Branch Kota Warisan Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic support and interventions to children with autism and other developmental needs. Your work will be crucial in helping these children reach their full potential and enhance their overall well-being.

What you’ll be doing

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and strengths of each child

Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address the child's social, communication, behavioural, and cognitive goals

Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilising evidence-based techniques and strategies

Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to the child's development

Maintaining detailed records of each child's progress and adapting therapy plans as needed

Participating in staff training and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field

What we’re looking for

A bachelor's or master's degree in Childhood Education, Psychology, Counselling, Speech‑Language Therapy, or a related field

Extensive experience (at least 3 years) working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities

Demonstrated expertise in implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), play therapy, and sensory integration

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organisational skills

Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families
