OVERVIEW
The Project Director plays a strategic leadership role responsible for the overall success of a project, which includes strategic decision‑making, financial oversight, and leadership of project managers and teams. This role bridges business strategy and technology execution — driving delivery outcomes, client satisfaction, and operational profitability through visionary leadership, structured governance, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
- Lead the overall project delivery portfolio, ensuring alignment with JurisTech’s strategic goals and business roadmap.
- Define, implement, and champion enterprise‑wide project governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to forecast delivery capacity, project profitability, and cross‑functional resource needs.
- Provide high‑level direction, make critical decisions, and lead project managers to achieve organisational goals.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure all project phases, from pre‑award to close‑out, comply with policies and objectives.
Delivery Excellence:
- Drive end‑to‑end delivery of mission‑critical software programmes — ensuring timelines, quality standards, budgets, and stakeholder expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Oversee large‑scale implementations involving multi‑stream, multi‑vendor, and cross‑border delivery teams.
- Establish clear success metrics for project performance, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.
- Continuously refine delivery methodologies, integrating Agile best practices and emerging technologies for efficiency and quality gains.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing ecosystem of Project Managers, PMO leads, Business Analysts, and QA professionals.
- Build talent succession and competency frameworks for the project organisation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the PMO and delivery teams.
Client & Stakeholder Partnership:
- Act as the main point of contact as well as escalation point for clients, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates and reporting on project — ensuring delivery confidence, stakeholder alignment, and long‑term partnership success.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate business goals into executable project strategies.
- Drive continuous communication across all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Oversee the financial health of delivery operations, including project profitability, utilisation, and cost optimisation.
- Support pre‑sales and solutioning activities with effort estimations, delivery risk assessments, and strategic input.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency across delivery units.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
You are someone who:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in software project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or PMO head role overseeing enterprise‑scale projects.
- Proven track record in delivering large, complex software implementations (preferably within banking, fintech, or enterprise systems).
- Strong financial and business acumen with exposure to P&L ownership or portfolio‑level delivery oversight.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills — capable of influencing and inspiring at all organisational levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models, SDLC, and enterprise transformation programmes.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Leadership (ICP-ALP/SAFe) are advantageous.
- Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven environment with global project exposure.
Successful candidates will be required to work at Bangsar South area and/or may be required to travel to project sites as and when required.
