Job Summary
The SMT Production Manager oversees all Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production activities to ensure efficient operations, high product quality, cost control, and on‑time delivery. The role leads the SMT production team, manages equipment and processes, enforces safety and 5S/6S standards, and collaborates closely with cross‑functional departments to support continuous improvement and business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of SMT production experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, materials, and quality control standards.
- Experience with OEE analysis, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Proven experience managing teams of 200+ employees.
- Hands‑on experience in a 0–1 company set‑up, including initial team building and operational structuring.

Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution
- Formulate and execute monthly, weekly, and daily SMT production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to ensure on‑time delivery and stable production output.
- Monitor production progress and respond promptly to changes or urgent orders.
- Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze OEE, utilization rates, and production data to identify bottlenecks and waste points.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and improve line efficiency.
- Implement process optimization and lean manufacturing practices.
- Quality Management
- Establish, implement, and supervise SMT quality control processes.
- Handle production and quality abnormalities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Reduce DPPM and ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards.
- Equipment & Technology Management
- Manage SMT equipment including mounting machines, reflow ovens, printers, AOI, and related systems.
