Job summary

A reputable food safety firm located in Hutan Melintang is looking for a dedicated safety officer to conduct site safety inspections, manage safety programs, and ensure compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Engineering, hold a valid Yellow Book certificate, and be proactive in promoting safety among personnel. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
• Valid Yellow Book certificate is mandatory.
• First Aid, Scaffolding, or Lifting certificates are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.

Job description

To conduct daily site safety inspections, audits, and hazard identification assessments to identify potential risks and ensure a safe working environment.

To implement, monitor, and enforce site safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards and statutory requirements.

To conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions to promote safety awareness and ensure all site personnel understand safe work practices.

To assist in accidents investigation, incidents, and near-miss cases, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

To ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOSH, and other relevant safety and health regulations, and liaise with authorities during inspections, audits, or investigations when required.

To maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation, and actively promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging safe behavior and continuous improvement among all personnel.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid Yellow Book certificate is a must.
• First Aid Certificate / Scaffolding Certificate / Lifting Certificate is an added advantage.
• Candidate must able to work on Hutan Melintang Area.
