Job summary

A safety management firm in Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor with at least 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector. Responsibilities include conducting daily safety monitoring, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, and leading safety training sessions. Candidates should have experience with Turnaround/Shutdown in PETRONAS plants and must hold certifications in safety supervision. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified Site Safety Supervisor in Oil & Gas.
• Experience in at least 2 Turnaround/Shutdown in PETRONAS Plant.
• Training in Confined Space and Standby Person is preferable.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform duty as stipulated in the in OSHA 94 Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Amendment 2022)
• Conduct full time site surveillance and intervene UAUC
• Advisory role to Contractors SHO & SSS
• Contractors focal point for all matter pertaining to HSE.
• Conduct daily HSE monitoring at his work area to ensure compliance to PTW, JHA, fatigue management, PPE requirements and participate in safety inspections and accident investigations.
• Ensure the implementation and conduct daily tool box talk with all personnel under their control.
• Ensure the implementation of HSE plan with respect to HSE management by contractors.
• Liaise with Area Engineers, Work Supervisors, Fire Watchers and Contractor workers to promote HSE awareness in work areas under their control.
• Ensure daily housekeeping is carried out. Industrial hygiene and schedule waste management are maintained in the work area throughout the Turnaround.
• Able to conduct Training and assessment which is not limited to HSE Briefing, Authorized Work Leader and any HSE related Training.

Qualifications

• Possess minimum 3 years of which will be experience as a certified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Plant.
• Experienced as a Site Safety Supervisor in at least 2 Turnaround / Shutdown in PETRONAS Plant.
• Preferable experienced working in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industry.
• Possess attend Train to Trainer (TTT), Confined Space Authorized Entrance, Standby Person (AESP) training.
• Aviation/operating for drone certificate certified personnel and minimum ONE (1) time of experience will be added advantage.
