Job description
Job Purpose:
  • Maximize business awareness in developing in-store sales strategies in driving shop sales
  • Manager self and the team to meet monthly shop’s target
  • Uphold and maintain the values of The Body Shop
  • Maintain and deliver excellence consumer experience and care
  • Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills; ensure open and effective communication, and the teamwork is maintained throughout the company
  • Implement and maintain operational standards to ensure smooth shop’s daily operations
Primary Job Tasks / Responsibilities:
1) Sales Management
  • Plan and monitor in-store sales strategies together with Area Manager
  • Work closely with the Area Manager as to exchange ideas to maximize sales and improve the shop sales
  • Well-informed on shop targets and promotions at all times
  • Drive the team to achieve sales KPIs and shop sales target; monitor and ensure all staffs are aware and focus in achieving daily personal sales target
  • Ensure the team is maximizing the on-going promotions in delivering the sales; monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the promotions
  • Build and maintain good relations with customer
2) Shop Operations and Administrative Tasks
  • Manage shop staff’s weekly, monthly work schedule; ensure at least one Deputy/Senior Consultant present at all times on the shop floor
  • Ensure all promotions and PR materials are put in place effectively and efficiently to maximize sales
  • Ensure all operations tasks is in accordance to company’s Retail Operating Model (ROM), company policies and procedures
  • Effectively and professionally handle all customer complaints according to the guidelines set
  • Set, monitor, and continually seek to improve customer service standards within the shop and company
  • Ensure all necessary administration for the shop in terms of staff payroll, stock ordering/transfers, and cash handling are completed efficiently, accurately, and speedily
  • Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and tidiness in the shop
  • Ensure that all window and in-store display and signage standards are properly maintained
  • Minimize wastage and ensure that company property is kept in good condition
  • Monitor shop lifting standards and maintenance in the shop and take action when needed
  • Ensure proper stock management in terms of ordering, storage and handling to minimize sales and profitability
3) People Management
  • Ensure that tasks are delegated appropriately in accordance with staffs’ skills and capabilities; constantly conduct on-the-job training for all staff
  • Supervise and effectively manage one’s time to ensure that all aspects of one’s responsibility have been effectively completed
  • Ensure that all staff is well-informed of the company’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure that all staff is motivated and provide excellent consumer experience
  • Ensure that all grooming and customer service standards are followed at all times
  • Promote team spirit and problem-solving toward the achievement of sales targets and company goals
  • Observe and recognize staff that has demonstrated good performance and positive attitudes for further training and development
  • Conduct yearly appraisal for all staff effectively and objectively
  • Ensure that all staff grievances and disciplinary actions are dealt with immediately in accordance with the company policy
  • Actively in search and recruit if there’s a vacant in the shop
  • Ensure new staff is fully inducted into the company
Requirements
