A leading logistics firm is seeking a Shipping Officer responsible for overseeing shipments and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in logistics, along with strong communication and analytical skills. This role requires effective coordination with various teams to ensure timely shipments and compliance with regulations. A Bachelor's Degree is required. This position is based in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia and may include local travel.
The Shipping Officer is responsible for verifying and maintaining records of shipments. Supervise the preparation of the loads for shipment as well as the preparation of the shipping documentation. Perform workload-based resource allocation to maximize productivity in daily activities. Maintains constant communication with the Export area for the preparation of customs documents on time, and the logistics area coordinating the transportation requirements.
The Shipping Officer must analyze trends, identify opportunities, motivate and develop his staff to achieve shipments on time, with the part numbers and quantities required.
Bachelor’s Degree
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel may be necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
