Job description

It is responsible for overseeing and managing all shipping, logistics, and distribution operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Shipping Operations – Plan and oversee daily shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries for both inbound and outbound goods.

Logistics & Coordination – Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport partners to arrange cost-effective, reliable shipping schedules.

Inventory & Documentation – Maintain accurate records (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) and coordinate with warehouse teams for proper inventory handling.

Compliance & Safety – Ensure all activities meet customs, import/export, and safety regulations, while implementing proper handling procedures.

Cost Management – Monitor and control shipping expenses, negotiating with carriers to optimize costs.

Team Leadership – Lead, train, and evaluate shipping staff to build an efficient, high-performing team.

Problem Solving – Address delays, damages, or customer issues swiftly to minimize operational disruptions.

Reporting & Improvement – Prepare performance and cost reports, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.

What you will need to success in this role:

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Leadership skills with experience managing a team.
