A global technology company is seeking a Technical Support Specialist based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This role involves offering technical advice and developing proposals for complex automation solutions in energy sectors. Candidates should possess an engineering degree and extensive experience in automation, with strong collaborative skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines. Proficiency in English and local language is essential, alongside a history of coordinating and delivering bids and proposals.
In this role, you will be responsible to offer technical advice and provide comment to support in early engagement, conceptual studies, FEED, and on inquiry specifications for customers/Account Managers with regards to ABB’s integrated solutions within the oil and gas, chemicals LNG segment. You will work in collaboration with other TSSS within their domain (i.e. Electrical, Telco, Digital, etc). Providing Technical Support during the technical meeting, product presentation and negotiations. You will be responsible to formulate competitive proposals, taking into consideration on best available solution / product mix, for each individual opportunity assigned to you. Ensuring bids and proposals are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details, including full and accurate cost. You will also collaborate with extended stakeholders (i.e. Project, engineering, product and leadership) and ensuring all risk review processes, assessments & approvals are adhered/documented in the preparation of the proposals.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Business – Hub Asia Region. The position is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
