  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax laws, regulations, incentives, SST, Grants, Subsidies and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with cross-border transactions and multi-entity tax management.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Executive to oversee all tax-related matters for us. The ideal candidate must possess strong Malaysia tax knowledge, have hands‑on experience in the manufacturing industry.

As Legion Extruder Sdn Bhd prepares for business expansion, this role will be pivotal in ensuring full tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and optimising the company’s tax burden to reduce unnecessary financial costs while strengthening governance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Planning & Optimisation
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to legally minimise tax exposure and optimise the company’s financial position.
  • Analyse tax incentives, exemptions, and rebates available in Malaysia to support corporate cost‑saving strategies.
  • Provide proactive recommendations to management on efficient tax structures, potential risks, and planning opportunities.
2. Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Oversee the full spectrum of tax compliance for the company, including corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and stamp duty.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns in accordance with Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) requirements.
  • Monitor changes in local tax regulations and update internal processes accordingly.
  • Prepare and review tax computations, deferred tax, and year‑end audit schedules.
3. Advisory & Business Partnering
  • Advise management on all tax implications of business activities.
  • Support business decisions such as factory expansion, inventory management, contracting, and cross‑border transactions from a tax perspective.
  • Provide guidance during Legion Extruder Sdn Bhd’s upcoming business transformation, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance across new business models.
4. Governance, Risk & Internal Control
  • Establish and enhance internal tax policies, processes, and controls to reduce compliance risk.
  • Manage tax audits, queries, and correspondence with LHDN, Customs, and other authorities.
  • Maintain proper tax documentation, transaction trails.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with auditors, tax agents, legal advisors, and external consultants to ensure accurate reporting and strategic alignment.
  • Lead internal training on tax updates and compliance for relevant departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of tax experience, preferably in Manufacturing & B2B Business Model.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax laws, regulations, incentives, SST, Grants, Subsidies and guidelines etc.
  • Familiarity with cross-border transactions, supply chain tax implications, and multi‑entity tax management.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with high accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Mandarin‑speaking ability is an advantage for communication.
