About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist (Indirect Category) to manage and optimize the procurement of indirect goods and services across our manufacturing sites. This role plays a critical part in driving cost optimization, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring procurement activities align with company objectives and compliance standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Negotiate long term, tender and blanket contracts.
- Highly involved with sourcing and procuring capital equipment; integral of capital investment team.
- Analyse current spend and find areas to improve service, reduce costs, and streamline purchasing procedures.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for various indirect categories in alignment with organization’s overall procurement objectives.
- Analyse market dynamic, supply chain trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvement.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvement, and value-added services.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives and track progress to achieve budgetary and savings targets.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable contract terms, pricing and service level agreement.
- Ensure that contracts are well-drafted, compliant with legal and company requirements, and regularly reviewed for performance and compliance.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies and procurement trends within the indirect category.
- Work closely with operations and finance to develop and implement MRO inventory management system.
- Participate in project team and initiatives that involve indirect procurement input.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the indirect procurement category.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve disputes and negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Support Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance at all times.
- Support the team in any other assignments from time to time.
Key to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, negotiation, contract, preferable in FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Solid knowledge of indirect procurement categories and supplier relationship management.
- Proficient in procurement tools and ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana preferred).
- Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI).
- Self-motivated, high energy, and results-driven.
