A retail company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Retail Manager to lead and motivate the retail team towards achieving sales targets. The role includes communication with mall management for promotions and events, monitoring team performance, and ensuring adherence to visual merchandising standards. Candidates should have a diploma in Business Management or Marketing and at least 3 years of experience in sales or marketing within the retail industry. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, with Bahasa Cina being a plus.
Lead and motivate retail team to achieve sales targets, with high standard of performance, good teamwork, effective communication, consistent positive result, continuous improvement and excellent customer service
Lead the retail team, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and employee morale
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the retail team regularly to ensure consistency, and improvement of productivity and service quality
Plan and forecast staffing needs based on sales trends, foot traffic, and operational requirements
Serve as a point of contact for mall management and coordinate mall-wide promotions, events, and initiatives
Support the execution of in-mall marketing campaigns and store events to drive foot traffic and sales
Practice top-down and bottom-up communication to ensure business priorities, brand objectives, marketing initiatives and sales targets are well delivered
Develop and execute effective merchandising & promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility, optimal product assortment, presentation, and placement
Ensure retail team adhere to visual merchandising standards and ensure appealing product display
Monitor and analyze stock data, including sales trends, demand forecasting, and lead the team to facilitate accurate replenishment planning
Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in sales or marketing, preferably within retail industry
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal). Proficiency in Bahasa Cina is a plus
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
