Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Executive

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to assess costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other resources.

Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms, including payment schedules, change orders, and variations.

the procurement process, including tendering, bidding, and contractor selection.

Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Track and control project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.

Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting, providing detailed updates to project stakeholders.

Manage and resolve any cost disputes or claims with contractors or clients.

Assist in managing the overall project timeline, ensuring milestones are met and costs are controlled.

Oversee the preparation and submission of interim and final payment applications.

Assist with the evaluation and approval of contractors' work, ensuring compliance with contract terms.

Prepare regular progress reports on cost control, procurement, and financial aspects of the project.

Supervise, mentor, and develop junior quantity surveyors and other support staff.

Ensure the team operates effectively, ensuring deadlines and financial goals are met.

Negotiate with clients and contractors regarding project costs, scope changes, and claims.

Maintain a positive relationship with all project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Any other job as assigned by superior.

Requirements
  • Possess own transport.
  • Candidate must possess at a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office application, AutoCAD and Glodon).
  • The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in either a developer or main contractor firm.
  • Excellent communicators and possess impressive numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary and materials budget handling skills.
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
  • Proactive and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and respond with appropriate level of urgency.
  • Highly reliable, confident with handling data.
