Job summary

A construction management company located in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years of experience in cost management and contract administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and negotiation skills, with proficiency in drafting contractual documents and managing budgets. Job description

Manage cost control, budget forecasting, and cash flow.

Coordinate, prepare, and compile bid submission documents for tendering activities, ensuring all requirements are met.

Monitor and ensure strict adherence to tender submission due dates, including final checks and preparation of outgoing submissions.

Conduct quantity take-offs, material sourcing, and accurate estimation of labour and material costs.

Prepare Letter of Award/ Works Order, Bill of Quantity, and taking off materials/ measurement.

Prepare, coordinate manage interim progress claim submissions for payment and final account.

Track and manage variations, claims, and contractual entitlements.

Monitor subcontractor progress claims, valuations, and payments.

Draft and manage subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Ensure timely notices and contractual correspondence are issued.

Work closely with the site team, engineers, and planners to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.

Monitor contracts administration, construction claims, legal, and contractual issues.

Perform duties assigned by Contract Manager/ Head of Department.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.

At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies for earthworks, infrastructure, drainage, roads, and etc.

Proficient in cost management, strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Ability to independently prepare various contractual documents according to the contract requirements.

Excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract.

Excellent written and communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Proficient in MS Projects, AutoCAD, Excel and Word.
